What are Alerts?
1)    Alerts are a mechanism to deliver timely actionable information to field sales, top and middle management
       in easily readable form.
2)    C101Rx Alerts are built based on the data available in data warehouses (like Sales, Finance and MR reporting)
       and transactional systems like C101Rx SFA.
3)    Our Alerts architecture can be used to deliver alerts  based on data from other data warehouses and
       transactional systems like Oracle, Siebel, Peoplesoft and SFA as well.
4)    Alerts are delivered to emails or mobile phones. So, they enable better user adoption of SFA/BI by
       increasing the user's interest and enticing them to access the software for more details.


Concept behind Alerts :
Alerts help overcome the below bottlenecks to accessing useful information.

a)    Wide range of information available to study:
There is so much information hidden in company's data that users of SFA or BI are unable to study all aspects. In C101Rx BI, there is data for Primary Sales, Secondary Sales, Revenue, Outstanding, Inventory, Expiry, Team performance, MR Reporting, Doctors covered, Doctors Not Covered, Type of Doctors covered etc.  Similarly, in C101Rx SFA,  a lot of information about DCR, Product Detailed, Products Missed,  TP mode, TP followed, Variance, Expense, Secondary sales of a SKU, CRM activity etc are available. Alerts ensure that the relevant and applicable information from these large data repositories is available to users at the appropriate time.

b)    Lack of time from routine activities:
User is pre-occupied in routine activities and doesn't have time to study the BI/CRM application to analyze his/her performance. 

c)    Lack of training /computer exposure:
Many of the managers/field sales force do not have enough exposure to computer & they are more comfortable with tools like email, word & excel etc or looking at SMS on phones. Sometimes, there is inertia to learn the BI or SFA software.

d)    High staff turnover:
We are living in an era of high staff turnover. It might happen that a user who is trained might leave and his/her replacement will have a learning curve with the BI or SFA software. The Manager or Sr manager  will get his/her alert as well as copy of alerts to his/her subordinates. This ensures sharing or information & facilitates discussion among themselves for better course of action.
